This is why we promote innovative programmes that include open methodologies and real-life experiences that stimulate our entrepreneur’s creativity. Our initiatives encourage this entrepreneurial culture and seek to support innovation in existing business models and the creation of start-ups, with the sole purpose of contributing to economic and social progress.

UNIVERSITY
OF CANTABRIA

The University of Cantabria is a modern public institution with an overall budget in 2016 of 105.97M€, whose main purpose is to contribute to social progress through teaching and scientific excellence. This allowed UC to confirm the “International Campus of Excellence” label in December 2014 with the highest score.

 

The UC consists of around 1,600 researchers and 13,200 students, four research institutes, and 160 R+D groups from 32 departments. UC is a highly competitive university in terms of research funding that achieved 28.452M€ to fund its R&D activities in 2015.

VALNALÓN

Originally conceived in 1987, Valnalón is an agency of the regional government of Asturias (Spain). Valnalón team has the mandate to put into practice the ideas exposed in the Asturias Regional Action Plan for Entrepreneurship in two key areas: business start-up support and entrepreneurship education. Valnalón plays a brokering role bringing together decision-makers, practitioners, and other social agents such as employers and third sector organizations to design and implement a coherent portfolio of entrepreneurship education projects in Primary, Secondary and VET.

CO-OPERATIVE COLLEGE

The Co-operative College is an educational charity dedicated to the promotion of co-operative ideas, values and principles within co-operatives, communities and society. We provide learning and development to co-operatives, their employees and democratically elected bodies; support the development of new co-operatives, in some of the most deprived communities, both here in the UK and across the world; work with over 600 co-operative schools in England; and conduct co-operative research focusing primarily on co-operative education and international work.

The European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises mission is to promote development and innovation for the field of cooperatives, social enterprises, and other nonprofit organizations engaged in the production of goods and services. Euricse focuses on all forms of private organizations and enterprises that pursue purposes other than profit, are characterized by participatory management models, and adopt a development approach that blends social and economic well being. Euricse combines research, training and consulting services to deepen the understanding of these organizations and their impact on economic and social development.

With origins dating back to the eighteenth century, the University of Porto is currently one of the most prestigious Higher Education Institutions in Europe.
